During the crisis resulting from the Covid-19 outbreak, a lot of advertising billboards meant for events that eventually got cancelled, remained unused in the city. Publieke Werken 2020 is an initiative to put the vacant platform to use. calling out to local artists to submit work to put up on these billboards instead.
